Good news for travellers entering Japan from the nations like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, India and Vietnam. Japan Airlines, the flag carrier of Japan, has announced complimentary domestic connecting flights for visitors from these countries. The airlines will add more Asia-Pacific nations to the list soon.
Japan Airlines operates 133 domestic routes and serves 64 airports within the country.

Complimentary Japan Airlines domestic flights: Key highlights
Japan Airlines is going to extend this offer only to passengers who make their domestic flight reservations as part of the same reservation as the international flight. It is imperative to note that separate domestic flights will not be free.
Additionally, for travellers from the US, Canada, and Mexico, the complimentary domestic flight availability is only if the first stopover destination in Japan is within 24 hours, according to reports. However, passengers will need to pay a stopover fee of USD 100 (INR 8,388) beyond this duration.
According to a press release by Japan Airlines, this move aims to provide a seamless travel experience to visitors, allowing them to explore the country more within a stipulated time. For instance, travellers flying from Singapore to Tokyo can explore Sapporo for free.
