NEW DELHI: Various situations of fraud, robbery and unlawful confinement involving Japanese visitors visiting the famed Anjuna beach in south Goa has led to Japan’s Consulate Standard in Mumbai issuing an advisory for its citizens to go with warning.Following the peace of limits imposed thanks to the outbreak of Covid, men and women have begun to vacation in large quantities, the advisory said.
The Japanese mission has requested vacationers to be vigilant though travelling to places like the Anjuna seashore in Goa. The Consulate Typical mentioned that there have been numerous situations of unlawful confinement, fraud and theft involving Japanese holidaymakers near Anjuna seashore in Goa.

Previous year, 2022, a 59-calendar year aged Japanese vacationer was falsely implicated in illegal possession of banned medicines and was also arrested by Anjuna police. Aparently, the police had recovered these medicines from a car or truck parked outdoors his rented lodging.
Meanwhile, the Japanese Embassy in Delhi did not reply to our question on much more aspects of the advisory.
